Hillary Clinton is a class act. In a concession speech that brought tears to millions of Americans who watched with utter despair and disbelief, she stood tall and told the world how she congratulated Donald Trump and “offered to work with him on behalf of our country,” because that’s what an adult and true leader does. Long after the sting of this outcome fades and last night’s chewed-up manicure is restored to polished perfection, we must, as Clinton so poignantly noted, continue to fight. “This loss hurts, but please never stop believing that fighting for what’s right is worth it,” she said. “It is, it is worth it.”

We need to make it clear that racism, bigotry, bullying, homophobia, sexism, xenophobia, and hatred or discrimination of any kind is not the American way. “I want everybody coming out from behind that and make sure your voices are heard going forward,” Clinton added, referring to the millions of volunteers and activists who knocked on doors and even posted on “secret private Facebook sites.” Now, more than ever, we need to give those opposed to life, liberty, and freedom for all the middle finger—a social media movement that gained traction from coast to coast during the election as people snapped pics of themselves giving Trump’s multiple phallic-like towers the bird

Ladies and gents, break out your nail polish and flip off anyone who gets in your way of breaking down the barriers (and the potential walls) that divide us. And while you're at it, grab your wallet and donate to Planned Parenthood, the American Civil Liberties Union, and countless other non-profits that will quite possibly cease to exist under this regime. We might not all speak the same language or pray to the same god, but Mr. President-elect, make no mistake, we all understand a good, old-fashioned fuck you.
