January 20 will undoubtedly be a dark day for many as Donald Trump is sworn into office as President of the United States. What started as endless fodder for comedians like Stephen Colbert and John Oliver has become a seemingly impossible reality—one that perhaps nobody summed up better than Rachel Maddow on election night: “You’re awake by the way. You’re not having a terrible, terrible dream. Also, you’re not dead and you haven’t gone to hell. This is your life now. This is our election now. This is us. This is our country. It’s real.” Many parents woke up November 9 wondering how they would explain the outcome to their children. Hatred, bigotry, misogyny, xenophobia, and racism beat out the American values that are supposedly ingrained in us, hand over heart, since birth: “liberty and justice for all.”

While a makeup collection can’t exactly qualm our country’s fears, it can help mask the look of horror on compatriots’ faces and camouflage a tear-stained complexion as a tangerine-hued fame monster takes his place as leader of the free world. And who better to spread the gospel of inclusion and glamour than Caitlyn Jenner? After launching a lipstick dubbed Finally Free with MAC Cosmetics back in February, this full-blown collection from the brand (bowing January 5) expertly reflects the transgender advocate’s mission statement of “All Ages, All Races, and All Sexes” via universally flattering shades of shadow, gloss, and lipstick. With names like Tolerance, Kindness, Authentic, Understanding, and Buddy, this range sends a message of acceptance, empowerment, and togetherness—one that feels a hell of a lot more sincere than Melania Trump’s anti-bullying platform.

Sure, Jenner presumably voted for Trump after slamming Clinton on I Am Cait, but later told Bill Simmons  she wants to “help the entire Republican party do a better job when it comes to LBGT issues.” Here's hoping this line is the first step. There’s even a product perfectly suited to the President-elect, shiny gold compact and all (perhaps a gift from one Republican reality television star to another): Mineralize Skinfinish in Compassion, a cool brown bronzer guaranteed to be a massive step up from the Cheeto dust currently on deck.
