ANDAM—the National Association for the Development of Fashion Artists—has just announced its finalists for 2017. Among the emerging designers up to win one of four awards (the French competition added a new Fashion Innovation Prize this year, worth $32,000) are Aalto’s Tuomas Merikoski, Y/Project’s Glenn Martens, Euveka’s Audrey-Laure Bergenthal, and Laura Do and Bastien Laurent of Avoc. The winners will be announced in Paris on May 30.

ANDAM, one of the most prestigious fashion prizes in the game, was founded in 1989 by Nathalie Dufour. Everyone from Maison Martin Margiela to Anthony Vaccarello to Simon Porte Jacquemus have been in the running in previous years. (Johanna Senyk of rainwear label Wanda Nylon took home the grand prize last year.)

“ANDAM is the home for fresh ideas and new possibilities, where talents are free to bring their unique vision and push themselves forward,” said Saint Laurent CEO and president Francesca Bellettini, who helms ANDAM’s jury panel. “I’m honored to have the chance to contribute to look for the creativity and the energy necessary to build the future of fashion.”
