Occasionally, larger campaigns are released in parts, with brands teasing out materials over a few weeks. Today saw the release of two such campaigns, and in both cases we knew that more was coming.
Saint Laurent has dropped more still images from YSL04. Evening Part 1, the Spring 2017 campaign that first dropped back in November, featured a video and some pictures. The Collier Schorr-lensed Evening Part 2 is much of the same, with one bonus: Freja Behan Erischen goes topless to showcase some statement earrings. The campaign, coupled with some of the images Balmain dropped yesterday, has us wondering if #titsoutforfashion will be the new trendy way to showcase one’s excitement via dress practices (not unlike the #phallusesforfashion we saw at LFWM).
Meanwhile, Prada has finally released A Story, starring Jude Law. Law appears in still images for the brand as well, but we appreciate the fact that when Miuccia Prada hires an actor, she makes him, you know, act. Anyway, watch Law meditate and play in the sand, below:
Also in video news, Kenzo has released a short film for its Resort and Men's Spring 2017 collections. Titled Club Ark Eternal, the flick sees various performers dancing while donning the two collections. Directed by duo Partel Olivia (who have worked with the brand in the past), the film is one more in a series of dance-centric advertising from Kenzo (the others, not including Partel Olivia's work, have been for the fragrance Kenzo World, and its H&M capsule collection). In other words, it looks like Kenzo's having somewhat of a dance dance revolution (we couldn't resist).
