This Tuesday in New York, we joined Olivia Wilde in feting H&M’s eco-friendly Conscious Exclusive collection. If you’ll remember, that range was inspired by the archives of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in the Palais du Louvre in Paris. Well, the following evening, the museum bowed Fashion Forward: 3 Siècles de Mode (1715-2016), a new exhibition sponsored by H&M that coincides with 30th anniversary of the institution’s fashion collection. On view through August 14, 2016, the show explores three centuries of fashion, offering viewers a comprehensive look at the evolution of decadent clothes, accessories, and beyond. Naturally, the fashion set is pretty pumped about the 300-piece exhibit, and insiders turned out in droves for its opening night. In the above slideshow, Paris’ favorite photographer, Francois Goizé, captured the evening’s festivities. Click through to see the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier, Julia Restoin Roitfeld (who fronts H&M’s Conscious Exclusive campaign), Catherine Baba, Elie Top, Michele Lamy, Caroline de Maigret, and more celebrate fashion’s rich history.
