How to Get a Pregnancy Glow Without Actually Getting Pregnant

Refresh your fashion week face

Despite tumultuous weather that vacillated between heavy downpours, freezing wind, and nearly balmy temps during the first few days of New York fashion week, the cast at Mansur Gavriel looked well-rested and radiant. “Floriana [Gavriel] just had a baby two days ago, so the designers really wanted the girls to look super luminous and gorgeous, but not cosmetic,” said makeup artist and mother of three Gucci Westman. While many of the models appeared to be around the same age as 19-year-old Kylie Jenner who recently gave birth to daughter Stormi, none of them (at least not that we know of) were expecting.

The secret sauce behind their radiant skin wasn’t a ultra-reflective highlighter that could be seen from space, but SK-II’s cult-favorite Facial Treatment Mask (applied to models’ complexions while they were in hair) coupled with the brand’s Facial Treatment Essence, which Westman described as “miracle water.” A minimal touch of foundation or concealer evened out complexions, while matte grey and peach shadows were washed across lids for a modern take on a ’60s eye inspired by Candice Bergen. A thin band of black liquid liner across the top lashes acted as the finishing touch. Who needs nine months of glow-inducing pregnancy hormones when the key to looking like a total babe comes in a bottle?
