Many things have changed since Jennifer Lopez arrived at the 2000 Grammy Awards wearing that now-iconic, palm-printed Versace gown that plunged past her navel. In addition to transitioning from sultry brunette to sexy blonde and adding on a few inches of length, P. Diddy is out and A-Rod is very much in. The Italian fashion powerhouse, however, remains a constant. After all, if Donatella’s design can motivate Google to create an entirely new search function to answer the internet’s most popular inquiry (i.e., J.Lo’s green dress), than why not wear the same label to drop and promote a new single—“Se Acabó El Amor”—with Abraham Mateo and Yandel?

To make the announcement, Lopez paired pieces from Versace’s Fall 2018 collection fresh off the MFW runway with strands that surpassed her super-sized belt buckle. After Beyoncé’s ponytail practically doubled as her plus-one at Serena Williams’ wedding and Guido Palau crafted “kinky” braids that snaked past models’ backsides at Alexander McQueen, it appears that extensions will continue to be in high demand. “I always think it’s a bit fetish-y if a woman has super long hair,” noted the legendary hairstylist backstage in Paris. One can only wonder if A-Rod feels the same…
