Fall 2016 Ready-to-Wear

New York

Humberto Leon and Carol Lim took inspiration from outer space this season. The runway was filled with inflatable space ships, which raised to the ceiling once the show started. And while the sunglasses some models wore were clearly a throwback to futuristic films from the ’60s, most of the looks that paraded down the runway were more suited to today than some galaxy far, far away. The sparkling, shimmering lurex sweaters were a particular hit, as were a sequined coat and printed, mesh-like trousers. Not so out of this world, but strong separates worth investing in.
