Fall 2018 Menswear
January 7, 2018
Lou Dalton was in a “comfortably numb” mindset for Fall 2018, telling us, “So many of us designers stress and look at what the other designers are doing and try to keep up, so I hit the reset button and decided to go with exactly what I was feeling.” And that vibe was a crisp autumnal walk in the woods, with cozy mohair checked scarves and sweaters (the latter an ongoing collab with British knitwear king John Smedley), wide wool trousers with elastic waists, fuzzy bobble hats, and a superb velvet car coat. All had Dalton’s enduring theme of the highest quality fabrics and rich, earthy, almost melancholic tones. You know what? We were feeling it too.
