Spring 2017 Ready-to-Wear
October 5, 2016
Leave it to Nicolas Ghesquière to go against the Paris grain. Compared to the boxy looks everyone else showed this week, this collection looked streamlined.
There is an architectural element too, with most aspects of the garments cutting across the body in all directions.
It’s worth noting that this show was presented in Vuitton’s swish new Place Vendôme headquarters.
The bags are a real treat here—those are some really covetable little clutches. They are possibly only bested by the boots, which are two-toned, and have the interesting detail of mirroring the front color on the interior of the heel.
