Victoria’s Secret is Bringing Out the Heavy Hitters—Musically Speaking

Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and The Weeknd are all taking the stage at this year's Parisian show

Lady Gaga is having quite a year. The singer, whose album, Joanne, dropped on October 21, is not only performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show for the first time ever, she’s also snagged another first—the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Gaga, who performed on Saturday Night Live on October 22nd, will certainly have a lot to talk about with Bruno Mars, who will also be one of VS’s performers. Mars not only has one lingerie runway romp under his belt (tee hee! But seriously, he sang at the 2012 show), but he is also a two-time Superbowl entertainer, having headlined in 2014 and made a guest appearance (alongside Beyoncé and Coldplay) last year. Mars also has a new album out (24k Magic), so here’s to hoping that he and Gaga finally realize the parallels between their careers and team up for a project already.

As if that wasn’t enough, VS has tapped The Weeknd to perform for the second year in a row. His new album, Starboy, will be released on November 25th. He’s not slated to drop by the Super Bowl yet, but who knows! He might do well to hum the NFL theme song whenever he bumps into Gaga at craft services.

In other VS news, the model lineup has been announced, and this year the lingerie brand has hired its biggest cast yet. (Not literally, of course. Unfortunately there are no plus-sized models here, just a lot of really famous straight-sized ones, unless there’s going to be some grand surprise that they’re hiding from us, but we doubt it.) Naturally, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Lily Aldridge are walking, as is Karlie Kloss. As we previously mentioned, Jasmine Tookes will be wearing the Fantasy Bra this year (VS’s highest honor), and Bella Hadid will be making her debut.

Catch all of the performances at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show at 10pm on CBS, December 5th.
