Vera Wang Teams Up With Ladurée, Designs Chicest Macarons Ever

She’s also designed a cake modeled after one of her dreamy bridal gowns

Now this is a collaboration we can get behind. As if Ladurée couldn’t get any chicer, the Parisian sweets company has teamed up with Vera Wang on a line of desserts featuring a coconut créme macaron and a mango and coconut wedding cake (edible black bow included) inspired by one of Wang’s dreamy wedding gowns.

This is the first time Ladurée has collaborated with a fashion designer, and in that regard, the first time the New York-based womenswear designer, who’s partnered with brands like Fitbit, Kohl’s, and Zales in the past, has joined forces with a bakery. (Not a bad choice for her first foray into food.)

“For me, Ladurée globalized and glorified a truly French art form throughout the world as the ultimate pâtissier,” Wang said in a statement. “Among my most memorable and enchanting experiences in Paris has always been Ladurée, whether it was tea sandwiches, shopping with my mother, or taking my daughters for lunch in St. Germain.” Ladurée’s president, Elizabeth Holder, added that meeting Wang felt like “love at first sight.”

Soon-to-be-brides can special order the cakes here; the limited-edition macarons will be available while supplies last. In New York? From now until the 26th, you can gaze upon the gorgeous confections IRL in the windows of Ladurée’s Madison Avenue and Soho locations. In other words, you’ll know where to find us these next few weeks.
