Red and Pink and Romance All Over… The NYFW Runways

Our favorite Valentine’s Day-inspired looks, for today and all year long

Designers at New York fashion week have proven that we don’t have to save head-to-toe red and pink for Valentine’s Day. Epic gowns, power suiting, and feminine slip dresses have been filling the runways over the past week in saturated hues of both romantic colors—worn together as well as separately. Though monochrome looks in many hues have been a huge trend for the past few seasons, sexy reds and flirty pinks have reigned supreme. Even designers who have nary produced anything beyond our beloved not-so-basic black (we’re looking at you, Alexander Wang!) have chosen to include some hot pink looks this season. Though we’ll be wearing our red and pink all year long, we’re still kicking off Valentine’s Day with inspiration from some of our favorite high-fashion designers. Here, 14 New York fashion week looks that were surely struck by Cupid’s arrow.
