Prosper Keating’s professional CV as a writer and editor includes senior editorial and associate editorships on various magazines including Vogue, Vogue Hommes International, Paradis, and 7000. He also cofounded and edited 7 POST. His work on a wide range of topics including culture, sub-culture, style, war, and politics has been published in various leading reviews and newspapers such as Paradis, Graphis, Esquire, Nylon, Sleaze Nation, Loaded, Numéro, The Times, The New York Times, The Guardian, The Australian, Welt am Sonntag, and various editions of Vogue. He is no stranger to sensitive and controversial subjects, as his interviews with Paco Rabanne, Ken Russell, Leni Riefenstahl, and the late surfing legend Miki “Da Kat” Dora attest. Barbet Schroeder’s César-winning documentary Terror’s Advocate was based largely on a long treatment written by Keating in collaboration with the subject of the film, the late Jacques Vergès. Keating is the author of a number of books, short stories and screenplays in English and French under his own name and a couple of pseudonyms. He has also contributed forewords and essays to books by photographers like Peter Lindbergh, Paolo Roversi, and Sandro Miller. His consultancy and branding work for leading fashion and luxury houses and brands aside, Keating has also worked as a consultant and editor for publishing houses as diverse as Condé Nast, Schirmer/Mosel, Kehrer, and Thames & Hudson, and worked for a time with the late Giovanni Russo, founder of the reputed No 11 advertising agency in New York.
